This year the students of the American University of Armenia had a unique chance to participate in the project Pan-Armenian Youth Assembly “Baze 2004 Summer” which was organized and held by Pan-Armenian Youth Foundation. The plan was supported by the active cooperation and generous contribution of Steve Maradian (Vice President of AUA for Government Relations and Special Projects). The Pan-Armenian Youth Assembly was to be held from July 30th to August 8th 2004 in Dilijan.

The purpose of the program was to organize the Pan-Armenian Youth Assembly, which will bring together 650-700 young people of 18-30 from Armenia, Artsakh, Javakhq and Diaspora, who will spent 10 days full of sport, cultural and other competitions and interesting meetings and events at “BAZE” Camp. The program is meant to create a friendly and competitive atmosphere at the “BAZE” camp, where young people from different parts of Armenia will have an opportunity to meet and communicate with each other, participate in wide range of competitions and sport games.

All young people, gathered from different parts of the world were chosen based on their abilities and social activism and one thing is sure that after the camp they will share their impressions, knowledge and ideas with their friends in their communities, which will promote love towards Motherland and national ideas among the Armenian youth, as well as will use gained contacts in their future.
