LECTURE SERIES PROGRAM
The American University of Armenia (AUA)
offers a Speakers' Lecture Series. Individuals in leadership positions
and prominence in Armenia or abroad are invited to speak on topics
of current interest to the general public. The purpose of this series
is to provide a public forum for the exchange of ideas in a context
that encourages open debate and discussion. Following their lecture,
the speakers take written questions from the audience. The Lecture
Series is open and free to the public. Meetings are held once every
three weeks, on Thursday evenings, beginning at 18:00. The program
lasts approximately one hour. The lectures are held in the Small
Auditorium of the University, on the fifth floor. Lectures are normally
given in Armenian or English depending on the language of the speaker
-- with simultaneous translation provided in the other language.
The text of the lecture and selected questions and answers are published
(in both Armenian and English) in our newsletters that are available
at this site.
